"Gemini" liner lock folding knife

"Gemini" is a striking liner lock folding knife made in collaboration with the late Gerry (Gerard) Hurst. Gerry profiled the blade and bolsters, I made the handle, liners, mounts, finishing, and thumb stud. The stainless steel damascus blade is a "vinland" pattern with sharply intersecting patterns and lines. The hard, tough Siberian Nephrite Jade gemstone is a bright, uniform green, and the 6AL4V titanium liners are fileworked and differentially anodized in gold and blue.

The knife deserved a special case, so I made this on in American Black Walnut hardwood, with a good application of artistic pique work in brass, set off by a Siberian Jade gemstone cabochon.

A beautiful folding knife for a great client.

Thanks, J.H.A.!

Jay,
I received Gemini today. It's incredibly beautiful! The pictures didn't do it justice at all. The file work is impeccable, the style of the blade is perfectly curved, and the Siberian jade handle is shockingly green. The knife seems to have been made for my hand. I am pleased I made the decision to buy it. It will become an heirloom to be passed down for generations. Thanks for all your fine work.

Most sincerely,
J.H.A.
