USAF Pararescue "Last Chance" obverse side view in etched 440C high chromium stainless steel blade, 304 stainless steel bolsters, Verdite (Budstone) gemstone handle, kydex, aluminum, blued steel sheath with flashplate
"Last Chance" USAF Pararescue CSAR Knife

The Last Chance design was named by the original designer of the knife, a State Policeman, and this one is a derivative of the original which is custom designed and made for a United States Air Force Pararescueman's combat search and rescue and tactical duties and use. This knife has a serious and stout mirror polished and custom etched 440C high chromium stainless steel blade with a tough tanto point for a strong tip and a top spine full length swage. The knife blade has a full, tapered tang for strength, and is bolstered with zero-care high nickel, high chromium 304 austenitic stainless steel. The handle has great quillons to lock the knife into the hand, guard the forefinger, and nice belly for comfort. The dovetailed bolsters bed a pair of striking Verdite (Budstone) gemstone handle scales. The sheath for the knife is a tension fit kydex, 5052H32 corrosion resistant high strength aluminum alloy welt frame, secured with blued steel Chicago screws. The sheath is outfitted with a tough and springy nickel plated steel belt/boot clip for versatile wear options and has a removable black lacquered brass engraved flashplate.

A tough knife made for Pararescue CSAR and tactical combat knife use.
