"Trophy" Fine Caping, Utility Custom Knife

The Trophy is a small knife, originally designed for caping and fleshing in tight areas for game trophy hunting, thus the name. It also makes a great small utility knife. This older custom made model has a high and low carbon stainless steel damascus twist pattern welded blade, carefully and successively hollow ground and etched. I ground it with a tight 3" contact wheel to offer a very thin cutting edge while preserving and thicker and strong blade spine. The bolsters are dovetailed and simply engraved with the client's monogram, and made from high nickel, high chromium 304 austenitic stainless steel. The handle scales mounted on the fully tapered and fileworked knife blade tang are beautiful Polvadera Jasper gemstone, a very hard, tough and lustrous polished gem from New Mexico. The sheath is hand-stamped and tooled leather shoulder, dyed black.
